In the beginning every new blogger just want to earn money from their website. But they forgot some of the main issues and do some mistakes, through which their website can't approved by Google AdSense. Or if it is approved so there is no earning because they can't do proper Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for their website.

If you need to start blogging as a long term career then take it seriously and work like a professional. For this you need to learn concepts for blogging and the mistakes you are going to do in the future. I will tell you about that, so you cannot do that same mistake which I have done and waste my 2 years.

1. Choose One Perfect Niche

If you don't know why you are starting blogging then there is a big issue. This is not just a normal business you need to take it seriously otherwise you just waste your time and money. Many new users just write on random topics which they think is good, without any research. You must know that by doing this:

• Visitors don’t know what your content is about.
• Google will never rank your content.
• You lose motivation quickly because of no results.

So, choose one specific micro niche with less competitors where you can easily rank your new blog. Also don't change niches, stick with one specific niche. Also if possible choose a niche in which you have knowledge, interest and experience. Then you know who is your audience and their intent.

2. Ignoring SEO

If you are Ignoring SEO From the Beginning it will effect your website. So, don't think like I will add it later. Make a plan for SEO like, keywords, competitors, target audience. Make sure to check all the keywords you are using. Choose Low KD keywords, which have less competition and rank easily. 

If any of the pages or post have missing titles fix them. Many user's don't add the description in their content, so make sure you will add it. Write a high quality content with a good structure. For this you need to learn the SEO basic concepts and write content first for a human and then for a Google search engine. If your user is satisfied from a blog Google will rank it easily.

3. Providing Low Quality Content

In a blog website content matters a lot. In 2026, many users copy content from AI tools, which cannot be ranked. If you don't add your value in it. Google bots easily detect the AI content and it will never rank if it is low quality. Also AdSense will not approved those blogs which have low quality content. So make sure to write a content which is:

• Original content, not copy from any other website.
• Don't use AI generated content which is without human efforts.
• Answer the questions of users.
• Add images in the content.

If your content is good readers, will read it full. Your engagement will never reduce also it increases your ranking in the Google.

4. Not Consistently Posting content

I have seen many blog website which are posting blogs in the start and then disappear. It will effect the user experience and also blog SEO. By doing this mistake you can't build a trusted audience who will trust you. So, make sure upload one blog post daily in the starting. Each blog will be related to one specific niche with internal links so user get full information.

Regular posting content help search engines to crawl your website daily and it will boost your indexing. For this make a schedule for your posting, take help from ChatGPT. Also focus on consistency and quality not on the quantity. Update content after some time will also help for growing in search results.

5. Focus on Earning Money

New bloggers just start a blog with this aim, that they will be rich one day with their blog website. But this is not a truth. Your first aim is to solve the user problem, and complete their intent for what they are looking for. And if you hesitate to apply for Google AdSense they will also reject your website.

Your first focus will be on getting a good monthly traffic that will generate you a good amount of money. So, don't start blogging for just earning money. It take some time for you to build a audience and stabilize your position in the Google search results.

6. Ignoring Website Design and User Experience

A bad design and structure of a website is not only hated by the Google but also by the users. It can also slow down your website speed, which effect the user experience they will leave your website quickly. Don't add too many ads in your website and use easy to read fonts for the content. Make fast loading pages, which make your website look professional and follow these steps:

• Use simple fast theme which is clean.
• Make a blog simple and mobile friendly.
• Increase the website speed.
• Use simple easy navigation.
• Reduce the size of images.

If your website is only related to blogs. Make it very simple design especially for mobile users. Many blog readers are mobile users, so make sure you check your website on all device types.

Create some social media accounts like Facebook, Quora, Reddit and Twitter (X). Whenever you publish any new post share it with your all accounts. It also help to build a trusted audience along with backlinks. For this you also need to join your blog related communities where you can share your ideas. Don't Expect Quick Results, because this is a real business and it takes time.

If you don't get results don't give up. Improve your website and you can see results. Always track your website performance by Google Search Console and Google Analytics. Where you can see the Traffic sources, Popular posts, Bounce rate and User behavior. It will help you to write a better content.
